Star mags are OK. I have quite a few of them and they are cool for realism, but they do have problems. Sometimes they dont feed all the way, and I had issues with them fitting in my CA M15A4. They didnt fit right or feed welli it. They have been very good in deannas TM M4. Its kind of nice to not have the rattle every once in a while.

You can try the MAG brand midcaps, which I've heard good feedback from. Try looking at the ebay store: eHobby Asia Airsoft Supplier

STAR band Lo-Caps are pretty solid for the price. They are plastic, not metal. I have a box of them and I only bought them for an OP I played a while ago that required real-caps. If you are really, really into being as real as can be then go for them. Otherwise go for the MAG or G&P mid-caps. They feed just as well and carry alot more ammo. I figure there is about a 3:1 ratio in airsoft. Three bb's for every real bullet you would fire. Going up against hi-caps with lo-caps can be real frustrating too. You can have all your mag pouches filled with lo-caps and still not equal one hi-cap mag.
I would go for the MAG brand mis-caps. It's the same money and functionality but with more firepower. AS for the magazines not fitting into the magwell of the CA's. I found that sanding a little of the surface area from inside the magwell of a CA will fix that problem.

thanks no remorse clears things up. i have two high caps its just i was interested in the realism that the low caps offer and because when i posted this my intent was to get my UTG mp5 to shoot full auto but now i have an m4 that shoots fine with any mag u put into it
