Info: The new Sig556, as opposed to the 552 or 551 is the Sig Arms carbine of the new decade. Unfortunately, the real steel version has recieved mixed reviews...However, this is not the real steel so GTFO. Whats to say about this gun. to put it simply, if an M4A1, AK47, and a Sig552 had a massive aeg orgy...this is what would have become of it. You've got a version 3 gearbox, turning it into a rifle that you can upgrade beyond your wildest dreams, an AK47 length inner barrel (455mm) for unparalleled range downfield, and is fed by M4 mags...standard, run of the mill, easily attainable and carried m4 mags. The only thing Sig on this thing are really the trades and the medium length motor, (get the matrix high torque from evike....45 dollars for a beast). steel gears and solid compression in the gearbox, along with a church mouse quiet shot mean your gonna be awfully happy with its performance. Stock performance after being wired to deans and lipo'd came out to roughly 16 rps, shooting just over 320 with a .25 so its not exorbitantly powerful out of the box. The upgrades I've done are heavier spring, high torque motor (for trigger response) and deans wiring.
Overall: This gun is what you've been waiting for. No longer will you have to worry about shattering a gearbox in the winter because you choose to use your prized m4. TM style rotary hop-up means you can precision tune your hop to as little as much as you want, with out needing to guess at it.
this gun is slowly turning to my number 1. Needless to say I cover my undergarments with ejaculate when I fire this weapon.
Tank tested, Tank approved
Upgrade Potential: 5 of 5 - There is literally nothing you can't do to this gun. Barrel, v3 gearbox, motor, top, side and undermount ris.
Build Quality: 5 out of 5 - Full metal body, full Sig Trades, polymer pistol grip and hand guard. fairly front heavy, but none-the-less amazing.
Value for Money: 5 out of 5 - The King Arms company are god damn thieves. Not to say this gun isn't worth 400 and change, but at under 200 dollars for a much sought after gun, its a steal.
Overall Potential: 5 out of 5 - If you haven't gathered that i have a boner for this gun, you need to work on your reading comprehension. Honestly, i'm suprised you haven't gone and bought it already....no really go.....go buy it....stop fucking reading this........you're a nutsack, go and buy it.
tank that is an excellent review

Tank, have you tried M4 mags in that yet? I checked out a Sig556 at the Army Barracks and asked if I could try some of their M4 mags in it. The M4 mags didn't even really fit or line up to be able to feed. I didn't see what brand it was, I know it wasn't King Arms because the price was too low.
i've run thru two games with regular MAG brand m4 mags. and they work fine

Just a note, on the RS 556 it is also front heavy; so for those of you who like realism, this has got another level of it. Good work tank.

Maybe it's just me, but I have no idea what you're trying to say, but I know HSA does not have the ICS SIG 551 listed (or either of the ICS LB kits), nor do they have any of the SIG 556's. What are the 7 types of SIGs you're talking about? 550, 550 sniper, 551, 551 LB, 552, 552 LB, 553, and 556? And, there are no airsoft versions of the 550 Sniper or 553, and there are a 2 lengths for the 556's.
Once I get my ICS SIG 551, I think the praise of this gun I've read here is pushing it to the top of my list for next AEG to purchase. The only decision now would be whether to get the Cybergun for about $190 or the King Arms DE for $380...
ur payin more for the same gun, keep that in mind

The KA one isn't the same though, other than the fact that they are both Sig 556s. It has the "blowback" feature, not that I would be getting it for that, since I'd likely disable it if I were to use the gun, but it's more that they have the different color. Basically, I was under the impression that the Cybergun was the rebranded version of the JP and the King Arms one was its own completely different version, but just licensed through Cybergun as well. So, while the KA does have a price premium of about double over the Cybergun without any major performance increase (if any at all), I think I like the look of the gun in DE color and would have to consider if that is worth an extra $190 to me.
The cybergun is not a rebrand of the JP for the record. I was working at Ground Zero Airsoft USA this past summer and when both came out we handled them and found that the Cybergun one is built much more solidly, while the JP is reminiscient of other clones' externals.
Basically when it comes to 556's the cybergun is the one to buy (never thought I would ever say that) as the JP is lower quality for a comparable price and the KA is not that much better in any way for a much higher price.
If you mean King Arms Sig556 DE as in Dark Earth (Tan) You could just paint it yourself, much cheaper plus from the sound of it they are just as solid.

Just received the same rifle in the mail yesterday after a charge of the battery... I was very impressed. It is such an upgrade from my M4. Very happy with the purchase, and suggest it to anyone else who wants a realisticly heavy AEG.
Tank: Did you upgrade the battery? or are you using the standard that it came with ?

if you knew me well enough, you'd know the answer to that question already.
my weapons don't stay stock for very long after i get them regardless of the modesty of the upgrades. however, to answer your question, no.
between the new spring, optic, motor, barrel, bucking, battery, battery wiring and as of this afternoon, furniture paintjob, this gun is very upgraded, because the platform is just too well designed to not upgrade the shit out of it.
as for the battery that i use, i use a 11.1 1500mah small stick lipo battery wired to deans connectors. you can find them (battery) on evike.com for like 65 dollars, with charger, which is a ripoff, but theyre still great batteries.
hope this helped. good luck with it

Couple of questions for ya:
464mm Edgi 6.00mm Barrel,fit or not fit?
Do ONLY stick type batteries fit, or can a farely small 2-piece crane stock lipo get squeezed in?
its a 455mm inner barrel so do the math, and it coud possibly fit, but no promises

If it doesn't fit in the stock a battery box works great. that's what I use on my 556.

What about the outer barrel?I ask this because:
An M4a1 has a 363mm inner barrel, but does not come out to the tip of the outer barrel, its about an inch or 2 inside.
363 vs 455mm. again dude do the math.
Tank Great review. I'm definitely gonna get one of these soon The idea of V3 stats and the ease of an m4/m16 mag change is just dead sexy. Either way thanks for the tip and keep review like this coming whenever you can man they are excellent.
