View Full Version : Chinese Government Cracks Down Hard

SACSlym

This is tentative till I pull together full details. Essentially, a group in China was buying airsoft guns from the factories, and modifying them into real guns, then shipping them as airsoft guns, the Chinese government has arrested this group, and is now on a huge crack down that apparently has all the factories very scared, since now it wont be their stock being destroyed, it may be their lives. Anyhow, more details when I get them.

Any idea if this will be effecting gun factories only or if this will effect the parts manufacturers as well?

CYMA Molds were used without the factories knowledge to make real guns.

No american company makes airsoft guns. The only airsoft guns with american company names on them are the cheapest of the cheap crap from china. When given the chance years ago, Crossman, daisy et al skipped out on the "less profitable" CA's and other brands.

I don't doubt that the Chinese are cracking down, but I wholeheartedly do not believe the story. They cracked down before under pressure from international copyright holders, but only briefly. The pressure from copyright holders has not subsided just because they cracked down one time for a few weeks.

Wasn't there something like this in July 08 where the government destroyed molds and such for all the Chinese companies? We were discussing it on another forum.

WarriorSoul

You hear these things monthly... "an end to the clone market!!" yeah right... China makes far too much in tax dollars on the exports to just shut them down permanently.... the usual... close them with a government team, yell at people, look at books, pay bribes or fines, back in business 2 days later.

Also pretty much unless you are buying a TM most of the components of every other mass-produced gun come from China/HK. So if they shut down making airsoft guns in China, really almost everyone would be screwed.

This has been the worst, worse then the when the molds were destroyed. My source is not some moron who doesn't live in China, no mine lives there, and visits the factories. Will the companies survive? Yes, and heres why, the crackdown this time appears to have to do with the 60th anniversary of the communist revolution, so they've now moved beyond raiding airsoft, they're raiding everyone.

I'll quote
bad news mates http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/busted_red.gif AGM got raided real bad http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif police took away the Boss and 4 other people and they have not been released http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/ranting2.gif , i don't undestand Chinese with their scare of losing face is there any other kind of people like this in the world...they have their glorious 60th anniversary of Communist ###### coming and nothing cannot interfere with that even foreigners they have stopped giving visas now so they cannot enter the country to make any trouble...who can understand these idiots in here...i guess we can forget the MG42 atleast for a while...if i hear anything i let you know.

if this story is true did the airsoft companys seeling the gun to this group know what was happening to the gun they where shipping out and second...

Airsoft guns cant be modified to fire real ammo can they? i mean the pressures exerted from a real bullet being fired esspecially one being fired out of a say a AK or M4 would shatter the gun after a few rounds if not the first round that is fired?

I mean an airsoft gun is not put through the same proccess of manufactureing as a real steal gun right?

If I owned a relatively successful Chinese company that made goods for export that were popular, I might see to it that rumors of my goods becoming rarities were common place.

All those stupid Americans might say and do things like.

Wow... I better buy me an AK.

Thanks Dwin, for the illustrative comment.

and from ASNews.

http://airsoft-news.eu/e107_images/icons/razmak-tran.gif (http://airsoft-news.eu/news.php?cat.1) ...bad news. Apparently, both AGM and CYMA's owners has been arrested and factories dismantled. They are being prosecuted for illegal guns manufacture in accordance to PRC's laws.

That's it folks. That is why no new products from China lately. News confirmed, as we received almost verbatim message from three different and highly reputable sources.

Now people here have questioned my source, saying he was in bed with the companies feeding us fear to sell better, well this is what he said about the AS Post,

if that is so, how is that possible that i talked with Cyma boss just yesterday and he was in home and ok...and certainly not arrested of any kind. And AGM boss is arrested that is true but they already are planning ahead just waiting that all clears ahead. they have so highly reputable sources that they even forgot to mention one...unnamed sources of any kind so that is highly reputable these days http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif and why no new products from China is BECAUSE the damn holiday festivities (60th Anniversary of China) WHY all factories had to close not because couple of them got busted or raided...tell the real reasons at least if that is news or something.

Besides the fact that I like outdated Soviet stuff, two words (or series of numbers and letters, what have you): QBZ - 95

Shit's so cash.

Oh, and their camo patters are cool. I'd love to get a hold of some naval digi something or other.

How would it not affect Hong Kong? No guns are made there, they are all made in the mainland.

i am not worried like everything else, they will just move the factories somewhere else, there will always be a city or country somewhere that will welcome them. money is money. as long as there is a demand they will find a way to produce them

SACSlym
11-25-2009, 03:51 PM
Now on the positive side of things in China.

there is more interest for making these guns now than ever, many new small factories started last few months and im sure more is coming, Chinese love competition and when somebody see there is money to be made, they will make it.*edit there is also so many new manufacturers for accessories (parts and accessories) here is a list of new factories what i noticed just few days ago (baby factory, X-player, Canis Latrans, Xunlei, Star Works, APS, Black bear) they all are making similar items like Element and 5ku. this business is booming and you havent seen anything yet! revolution is coming

china is retarded. they'll lose business because they think that civilians can go on a genocidal campaign with a gun that shoots plastic. that is just sad.

Airsoft guns have been made into real firearms before.... Asahi took back all their m40's because they could be modded to fire .22's. Some kid in NY or some other urban jungle had his airsoft 1911 modded to fire 1 .38 round. .22's are deadly rounds and hit right into the 6mm barrels of airsoft guns. Just because they may have chosen to mod an airsoft ak doesn't mean they are shooting 7.62x39 out of it.

i never knew that you can convert a airsoft gun into a .22.
