I was just wondering if the echo 1 task force black 6 was a good choice for a solid but decent priced weapon for field. Everyone says that the rpm is surprisingly low and the fps is very high, around 390-400 which makes it more of a field weapon than c.q.c. I like echo 1 and think its a reliable company but im wondering if this mp5 is worth the money.

is this your first gun? If so, i wouldnt recommend a blowback gun.
The RPM is slow cuz of the spring, and a stock motor as well, the power, yeah, is a bit much for an MP5 (ive seen someone's mp5k pump out 600fps before, but thats in a different country). If your gonna spend $200 on a MP5, look at some of ICS MP5s, There way better than E1, but there just a little more expensive then E1. It wont be shooting to high (around 330-350) and there rate of fire is decent too. The accaurcy is sweet as well. The internals are stronger, and they wont need to be worked on as much as E1.
Then again, you can alway go to the BST threads and pick up a used gun from there.

so go with a highgrade aeg instead of a blowback...in my experience with blowback weapon systems, the blowback is pure novelty and offers nothing but a cool looking weapon with a little kick...and honestly...its just one more of the 100000 things that can go wrong with an airsoft weapon. keep that in mind, not to mention an mp5 is, by design, not a field weapon (in its stock form anyway)
id buy a highend modular aeg, in that one you can modify to your liking externally and internally. i think you'll be happier with a sturdy as fuck CQBR than an mp5 (which is an absolute bitch to work on)
my two cents deposited
I recommend what the other gentlemen have said,
But later down the road they are pretty cool. I was fingering one a few weeks back. Was really nice, but loud (the bolt cover clacking back and forth). Plus it's just badass, as a secondary/back up. Get something a little better first- you won't be disappointed.
That's my take on it.

If it is, as I suspect, a rebranded version of the Cyma, than it does get solid RoF (LiPo), and is actually incredibly easy to take down (real steel breakdown system as opposed to the retarted Marui base). Power and accuracy are also excellent for a stock MP5, and it will work as a field weapon.
As I said, that's assuming its a rebranded Cyma.
Speaking of which, you might want to check out their AKs, which will get you even more range out of a stock gun, and I believe some of the newer models come with tightbores.
ICS does make solid MP5s, but if you can track down an Airsoft Elite (ICS with upgraded internals) then you're gold.

i'd wait a couple years before getting a gas smg/rifle, new technology with all these news rifles comes out every year. wait for a good one
if you want a nice full-metal mp5 get a vector arms

Tank, im gona have to disagree with you, i have an echo-1 vector arms mp5, and it shoots about 600-800rpm, and about 410fps right out of the box, it was the best $170 i've ever spent in airsoft
