Hi everyone. Here is another review, but this time of the TSD SD87B Tactical Shotgun. This gun is $40 at Army Barracks on Broadway in Salem, NH. First of all, this gun is pretty good for the price I got it for. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
Pretty accurate
OK FPS
Lightweight
Satisfying "Shell Ejection" feature
Cons:
All plastic (expected from price)
Range
Shell Door is very easy to break
No sling mounts
TSD is known for making some high-end guns, from my perspective. TSD didn't let me down with this gun. TSD was able to make a cheap, affordable shotgun that is easy for anyone to use and that is effective.
This gun weighs no more than 2lbs. It is also very short, which makes it a perfect secondary weapon. The SD87B is incredibly easy to pump, too. Another cool feature of this weapon is the RAS. It's a nice feature to have the tri-rail system close to the barrel (1 rail under and 1 on each side). There is also a scope mount for more accessories. The RAS is easy to take off, you just need a screwdriver.
This gun did come with some accessories. It came with 4 shells, each holding 14 rounds, and it also came with a little pouch with velcro to put on you gun to hold you shells. It came with a speed loader, too. I only wish that TSD would make a sling mount so it would be easier to have a secondary, but if you have a vest, you can just put it on your back or something. The hop up on this gun is very strong, I guess thats how to say it. Theres a lever that you can slide that changes the hop up.
The TSD SD87B Tactical Shotgun is comfortable to hold and easy to carry around. I like it. For $40, it's definitely something to look at. Here are my ratings for it.
Ratings*:
Look and Feel: 8/10
FPS: 7/10
Accuracy: 8/10
Loudness (10 being silent): 8/10
Fun-ness: 9/10
Price: 10/10
Durability: 9/10
Weight (10 being heavy): 3/10
Overall:9/10
* Based off the price of $40 and compared to simular shotguns in that price range.
The TSD SD87B Tactical Shotgun has proven to me that it is capable of providing enough power when I need to go into a CQB without my assualt rifle. I gave the overall rating a 9/10 because this is just a $40 that shoots and feels like a $40 gun. The shells are really cool and fun to use, but the performance, FPS wise, just doesn't reach my 10/10 expectations. I still think that the TSD SD87B Tactical Shotgun is a gun you should look into if you want a new sidearm and aren't looking to spend too much money on a gas pistol. I hope you liked my review!
