so about two weeks ago I went down to federal spoke to craig about here and there just shooting the breeze. Some how we got on to the topic gas pistols, looked around the shop to my eyes stumbled upon a Glock 17, now i don't remember the make but this gun is a beast. So last night about 1245 I went out for a coffee at the local dunks, I then decided to go to my shop, sat there for a bout forty minutes sanding and painting what looks to be the bastard child of a Glock 17 and a fire truck. I would like to decal my call in number on the side as well as the star of life.... I'm a funny guy ;) Now field purposes aside tell me what you think

that looks pimp dude... it would look even better with a stainless barrel. i sanded my glock 18 down as much as i could so its chromed. i think you can sand the barrel itself down as well to get a chrome look without havin to buy one, id just make sure to use a fine grit paper for it. i actually used a piece of copper pipe sanding cloth, came out pretty well...check her out:

thats what i mean by the stainless barrel, of course im desperately impatient when it comes to getting things as finished, so theres a few lame spots that still need work, but i think the red with the chrome would look diesel...just my two cents

Just curious, is the glock left handed?

Dude doesn't trying to sand the orange off around the front sight blow hard? I have that same little bit of orange left around the tip of my 226.

No, its not. The picture is just inverted. You can tell because the lettering on his sweater is also.

Nope, its still left handed. Look at the second pic of the red glock and imagine putting your right hand around it. The slide release is on the wrong side.

I'm pretty sure its right handed. All of those pics are reversed meaning that the pic that looks like its his left hand it actually his right. Colonel fuckatard, in the kitchen with candlestick.

That glock looks like a little red headed glock step child.

It's really easy when you soak the slide in nail polish remover (or paint thinner). That worked really well on my KWA G19.

About how long did you let it soak for?

I just soaked the tip for between fifteen minutes and half an hour. I checked on it often, until it came to the point where I could easily scratch the orange off with my nail. Just remember to remove the front sight. I forgot to, and it got a little messed up.

If you have a Dremel, try using that little brush piece that comes with most dremel's and brushing it off... I know I used that to get paint off of a butstock once... Worked well.

Great looking glock! Is that like a Chrome? Or a red orangeish color?

I always remove the front site and use steel wool; presto.

Nope, because the box in the backround. The lettering on it is reversed. Because the picture is mirrored. and that means, so is the glock. And as far as I know about GBB (Which is quite alot) KWA does not make left handed glocks. Or made. Since KWA no longer produces them.

Mirrored pictures are confusing. Sorry if i sounded a little in your face in my last post.

Put a flash light on it, with a red lens and have a red flash light. Or get a pistol bayonet and paint that red.

Ive got a pistol hard on at the moment, excuse me.

I'm only responding because you said field purposes aside. Mil-silm is not my strong suit but I can do aesthetics.

I'd say it needs more red. Not like a more red shade of red on the slide but more of that same shade accenting other areas. As is, despite being a perfect paint job of an awesome color, it seems like that part of the gun is a seperate thing, like it's from another weapon. It's too...alone.

If you go with your number/star, deffiniately make 'em that same color. What I'd try to do is make the grips (I don't know a better word, the textured parts on either side of the grip) that same red. If it were like a Beretta 92 or 1911 I'd say take off the sides and paint 'em but idk how you'd go about doing it with that.

And this is how you make one of the sexiest P-14's on the market. I hate chrome. I like the flatter real steel look of it. I could make it chrome by using some compound and polish, but i choose not.....

How did you make a mirror finish without compound and polish? What grit sandpaper did you use? I had to use paint stripper, 80 grit sandpaper, 120 grit sandpaper, Then some steel wool. Did you use 2000 grit sandpaper?
