Hey
Well, a few other buddies and I set up a team about a month ago. Its called Special Forces Group FOXHOUND (we have a lot of MGS fans). its based out of, but not restricted to middlesex MA, and we already have a starting roster of 9 people. we hope to have a maximum of 16 members, but that may change.
The team co-captains consist of:
Wolf
Mindless
and me, Hazard
THIS TEAM IS FOR SERIOUS PLAYERS ONLY!
we havnt really gone public with it because we want to be ready as a team before we truely go all out and play as a team at events. we plan on it being a very active, enthusiastic team that attends every event it can. so far, we've had a practice just about every weekend despite the weather, and we plan on continuing the trend. It is a serious team, and we expect the members to put the team on one of your top priorities. we really stress the importance of the mil-sim aspect of airsoft, and are trying our bst to make our team as realistic as possible.
so far, we have many requirements to join, including loadout requirements, maturity, respect, and activity.
---------------------------------------------------------
1: required load-out. (minimum)
-An AEG shooting at least 300fps with .2s, and a maximum of 400 fps with .25s. other weapons (like sniper rifles) must be judged by the team co-captains for approval.
-Some kind of rig/vest/tactical belt. OD green or coyote tan, NO black.
-Desert MARPAT and woodland MARPAT. If you don’t have desert MARPAT and woodland MARPAT already, then after you join you need to get the required camo's ASAP (when ever you can in a reasonable ammount of time).
-Goggles
-Radio (FRS)
-You generally need to be able to get your own ammo. Unless you have a special deal worked out with another member, don’t expect ammo from fellow team members (except in the heat of battle, for example you need another mag).
- You need to know the hand signals!
http://www.airsoftgent.be/dbase/hands.htm
- You need to be within about 1 hour driving distance from Middlesex MA.
-Boots
-Camelbak or canteen
RECCOMENDED:
-Sidearm (pistol or SMG)
-2 or more Magazines for your primary Weapon
-a second radio
-Helmet with cover(s)
2: activity.
-We expect this team to be one of your main priorities. It isn’t your #1, however, you should put airsoft before playing socom or world of warcraft, for example.
-If you’re not active and don’t have a legitimate excuse, you will receive a warning. If you continue to remain inactive, you will be removed from the team. Your activity will be judged by the team co-captains.
- If your going to be off the fourms for one reason or another, post in the "Going to be away" board. so if you are going to be away for more than 5 days, please post in this thread.. or if you want to play it safe the please post a topic if you are going to be away for 3 days. Upon your return the topic will be deleted.
3: Respect.
-You don’t have to like people on the team, but there will be NO fighting on the forums and NO fighting on the field. ALL confrontations should be kept to PMs and other PRIVATE ways of conversation
-Respect the team co-captains. They were elected for a reason.
-If you fight on the forums or field, it will result in either a suspension or some other form of punishment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
we are a democratic team. on our forums, everything that needs to be decided for the team is voted on BY the team. The team Co-Captains were elected by the team, as were the team requirements. The Co-captains aren't definate. if the team belives one or more of the co-captains is doing an inconsistent job, they can be demoted from the postion. there is a maximum of 4 co-captains, and a minimum of 2.
on the feild, we still use rank systems to get the job done. in combat there is no democracy, like always.
we are still a young team, and are still organizing and determining all of the aspects of the team. at this point, we are not ready to attend events as a team, but we hope to be ready by spring.
By request of the co-captains, i am keeping the URL of our forums private. However, if you have a further interest in the team and would like to learn more about us, or would be interested in joining (through try-outs) our up and coming team, shoot me , or Mindless a PM and we will send you a URL. But please keep it private. we will go completely public in spring.
thank you
