Pros:
-More accurate than any stock clone thompson.
-Much higher rof than any clone.
-Solid construction. Very little wiggle room once you tighten the screws. (But you do have to tighten them or they will come loose with a few uses).
-hop-up is easy to adjust and stays where it is.
-mostly metal: unusual for a marui gun.
-handle, foregrip, and stock, although plastic, feel amazing.
-Good heft and sense of realism.
-Trademarks are very nice.
-battery compartment is easy to open and easy to use.
-Is about as close to my dream airsoft gun as one can possibly get.
Cons:
-OK, for those of you who are completely imcompetent with a screwdriver, and don't know the difference between a cyilinder head and a bushing, it does only shoot 290.
-The orange tip is a B!7(# to get off. But you didn't hear that from me :P
-This isn't really a con because it is worth every cent, but it has a fairly premium price.

Unless you have experience don't post. Those reviews aren't worth shit by the way. Try a trusted reviewer.

Ok.... Trust him all you want. Just don't trust the people that do reviews on ASGI. Since xbabyfat didn't write that it makes no difference.

Troof.
Anyway what the hell, I'll write a mini review.
The TM Thompson was my first gun. Lets put it this way, this thing's a fuckin beast. I've not had a single problem with it, (which I cant say about any of my other guns) other than when I broke my air nozzle by doing a stupid move... The ROF with a good battery and shim job, is insane. IDK if it is just mine, but my range isnt that great, even with a tightbore, so my guess is that the hop up isn't that effective. I've noticed that I don't see much of a difference when I adjust it either. If you don't fuck with it, It'll be the most reliable gun you own. The externals seem awesome at first, but if you put it through some intense combat, some stuff could go wrong. The metal is legit, but the front handguard came off, then later the whole outer barrel. However, that's something that can be easily fixed by epoxy.

DO NOT slam magazines home into the magwell. It wil kill your hop up mech, Irish that may be what happened to yours. This goes for the clone thompsons as well. When you put mags in activate the mag release so that the mag goes into place without the need to be smacked into place and this thing will last you a good long while, stock TM's are the tits for durability IMO.

yeah, that's how i destroyed my air nozzle, by hitting it too hard on the ground... so that's prob why my hop is dead... hmmm. need to fix it

My first AEG a lil over 6 years ago. Never even opened it, still runs well today even tho the FPS is down a bit from the 280 out of the box. Only external issue is the front handgrip/barrel as previously stated. However out of the box the #1 gun I own in terms of reliability.
