Acceptable Clothing, IE Uniforms based off normal day to day clothes are allowed, but only if they are the correct colors, shown below.

Acceptable Colors:

Brown, Khaki

Flora for Special Forces

Any period Specific camo, or uniform unique to Russian Forces.

NOT ALLOWED
Full Body OD (Partial OD allowed), Grey, Black

Notably if a period specific uniform contains Grey, Brown, Black, or OD it is acceptable.

I know that part of my uniform will be a period specific full length officer's coat, and it's gray, but if others want to do something similar, but aren't willing to dish out the cash to buy a real soviet coat (they tend to be expensive), will that be limited?

Any uniform thats done correctly in order to make it appear period specific, and thusly one couldnt tell much of a difference then yes, the same goes for East German uniforms being used to portray earlier German uniforms.
