yes, they're all either 6mm or 8mm... but 8mm aren't common anymore so 8mm bbs are clearly marked

each bb comes in different weights because they all have different purposes. .2s are good for stock guns. they're cheaper (less $$/bb). very good if you like to fire on full auto for long periods of time

.25s are good for those windy days, and their added weight give more stability in flight and therefore more consistance/accuracy. downside is the fps with them is lower than with .2s so there is a slight range decrease

.23 is a mix between .2s and .25s... they are more accurate yet still leave the gun at a decent speed. my choice of bb weight for stock guns during a windy day

more than .25 are for sniper rifles and designated marksman guns that are upgraded. no point in buying them unless you have a gun that shoots over 400 fps with .25

you forgot .12 grams. these are for crappy springers and realy cheap guns. I some how have a bunch of them and realy dont use them. These are usualy funky colors like yellow and pink or bright green. Most bb's are wight and I like them this color so I can see where I shoot and also to ajust my hopup. Ive bought black BB's befor and they suck once its out of the barrol I cant see them they also make a dark green color on some brands. Theres also diffrent manufacturs of diffrent grade bb's. Some suck some dont some are bio degradible. Also some feild require that you use black bb's. theres many diffrent choices on you airsoft ammo. Mostly just ask and trial and error will help you pick wich ammo works best for your gun.
