my computer is not letting me use the search button, but i had a question. is a "sniper rifle" that shoots 300 fps a worthey invstment, compared to an AEG that shoots 300fps? also, is green gas/co2 a better idea than electric or spring?(i nkow, i know, "use the search button NOOB!!!" but my computer wont let me."

gas is less predictable than spring. As for 300 Fps, it all depends, with what BBs? .20? then def no, with .43? then absolutly.

AEG is a much better investment than a sniper rifle

sniper rifle is a very specific role, and 300 fps with .2s wont cut it

it is a much better idea to get a good electric gun rather than waste it on a spring gun in the form of a bolt action rifle, especially since this is your first gun.

as far as the green gas/co2 goes, they work good enough in the summer, but gas is the least consistant of the 3

This gun looks like a cheap upgraded gun. I would recommend ICS, TM. Or CA

yep... dont get it. waste of money. save up for a CA or TM... from a reputable site like A&A airsoft

best option of course would be for you to just have Jabber build you one, but... he'd have to agree to it first

if your looking to stretch every penny then this site gives free shipping for all orders over 100 dollars http://www.evike.com/

if your looking for a low aeg price https://www.poweredgeusa.com/

if you want a crazy selection but the shipping is murder http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Home

this is my favorite place to get airsoft parts and guns never had any problems with themhttp://stores.ebay.com/eHobby-Asia-Airsoft-Supplier

a&a is a great site too i trust them the most out of all of them and there local so support them get jabber to make you a gun if he agrees and you fork up the dough you will be supremely pleased

I don't like Evike for the fact that they ship most item with First Class Mail while you pay for ups ground.

well if you get the free shipping your not paying a dime if your buying an aeg its likely your spending more than 100 dollars

But then there's the fact that their free shipping is UPS Ground. Ground shipping a fairly fragile across the country isn't the best idea in the world. I mean I myself haven't had anything bad happen but people I know who work for UPS have some scary stories on how packages are handled.

swat73david

They will most likely ship it by usps First Class mail. I know they do it for parts. I had a item lost for 3 to 4 weeks coming from evike

Ok.

Take $5-10, mabye $15 dollers out a week from your check and put it in a book or somthing in you room.

Take that jar of change on your dresser down to Coinstar at Stop and Shop. Sell som stuff on ebay. Add that to the money you already have and BAM in a couple week's you'll have a good solid gun. Trust me you will have so much more fun playing with a good CA, TM ICS than with some shitty LPEG.

Remember, you also need to buy a battery and Mags for this gun

exactly. most online stores AND walk in stores dont give you a battery with the gun. and most batteries dont come with chargers. when you buy the gun, make sure you have $50 or so set aside for a nice battery and charger.

if you listen to nothing else about this discussion listen to matchgrade those brands the ones he named are worth every penny because they last other guns do not

The bottom line is this and it's one that is repeatedly stated over and over: You get what you pay for. If you think you can buy a no name "AEG" shooting 330fps for $75, I would like to sell you some Arizona beachfront property for $10 an acre. It might be tempting to buy one of those guns but as sure as night follows day, it will break soon and you'll be out your money. As this is the offseason, bide your time, save your money and research. Come springtime, you'll have some money, a good idea of what type of gun you want and you'll be good to go. I know it's tough saving money when youre younger and dont make much, but it can be done. Good luck.

yes that would be good but how are you going from a 100 dollar gun to a 500 dollar gun, you can get that w/ out the extras for 300

monkeys
12-12-2006, 04:43 PM

Im a big fan of ebay for guns. the thing is you dont buy new so you most likely buy some one elese problems. or why would they sell a good gun. anyways. if you know how to fix them up then ya check out ebay but for your first few guns buy new. Next the m203 launcher on the base of that gun is cool and all but is even more specilized then a sniper rifle. you will use it less then you think you will. also shells are hella expensive for only one shot then you got to spend alot of time to reload them. Plus your shooting 18 to 230 BB's at one time. even thow a bag can run you as little at 6$ for 1500 it still adds up. I like .12 and some .20's mixed up for m203 shell shots. some other sights to buy stuff btw im not a seller or dealer of airsoft and cant realy back up or say these are the best options for buying equiment but its an alturnitive. http://www.airsoftclassifieds.com/

check out the fourms on each sight to know what your buying. and educataded purches is never a bad one.
