I need a new primary any help?

my old M4 broke because i let my friend use it and he dropped it in a pool. And ii wanted a New one but i need some help. i was thinking of getting this http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-JG-M4S-613.htm (obvisly not from airsplat.... they suck) but you get the idea. i just wanted to no if it was any good. (and im on a budget... 150 is that max i can pay) thank you

Your M4 should not be broken because of contact with water. Let the internals air-dry. It should be fine. If its crappy, get a new gun, a different battery might also help. Get the echo if you need a new gun, you wont be dissapointed

My friend owned the M4 you posted about, from seeing him use it, it turned to be a very reliable and decently accurate aeg. He had it for almost a year with really no maintenance done aside from cleaning the barrel, which did help with the eventual breakdown of it, but is still a good aeg from my perspective.

dude you should get dboy around 150 u can get a full metal shoot 400 fps. same as that jg made but better. :D.

I was looking at getting that very same gun, the v2 gearbox is supposed to be pretty crappy, well, crappier than the v3 version that's available from JG. I just bought essentially the same one but made by dboys that's full metal, rated much better in just about every category for only like 15 bucks more.

Thanks ill look into that. i was origanlly going to get a full metal M4a1 but it was a shit gear box. so ill see.. tnak you for all you help!

I know echo1 and jg are the same thing but for some reason i find echos are a little higher quality. Most are in the 150 to 200 dollar range. Another option is the ca sportlines. I own the m4 sportline and i'm very happy with it, and it only cost 150 plus tax

for $170 the G&G plastica seems to be very good like with new G&G internals but plastic body and no Tightbore or the CA sportlines seeem decent.

We can't give you feedback if we don't know the brand. The FPS sounds a little low though (but if it's a Tokyo Marui that's ok).

Dont waste your money on that. Save up and spend a little more and get an Echo1, if youre on a really tight budget.

re: the broken wet gun

1) did you check the fuse? it's a 10 cent part at any auto hardware or most chain stores.
2) did you check the battery by trying another battery in its place? (Obviously check #1 first to eliminate the fuse as an issue) if the gun only went into the water, perhaps you had a short, and there is no need to spend any money but possibly for a fuse or battery.)
3) Did you witness this? how do you know your friend is not a jackass
and something else happened?
4) does the gun not shoot but makes sounds? you could have had something get into your gearbox, you could have stripped a piston or pinion gear, you may have a lockup for any number of reasons. I once had a lockup because a grain of dust was on a BB and not only did it not shoot, but the airseal was so tight that there was no sound coming from the GB, or the grip- but one poke of a cleaning rod and the gun functioned flawlessly.


to the guy who wants to buy the 40$ gun because E-1s are almost 200-
not long ago the cheapest gun you could field was 250, without a battery, without a charger, without a hicap mag, and with less power. it is totally true that the E1s and some of the other clones (I hear A+K, some Cymas, e-1/jg etc) are good guns, and I have owned and fielded some E-1 product.

that said, you still get what you pay for, and that 40$ gun is going to self destruct and suck hard, forcing you to buy another 40$ gun to keep up, or at least then purchasing a 150-200$ e-1... might as well save a little and save yourself the 40$ and headache.
