I bought my Echo 1 M4 about 4 months ago, and i shoot it maybe 4 or 5 times a week and now my accuracy and range are down. What happened, and how do I fix it?

When you go to a mechanic do you ask,

I've been driving my car 4 or 5 times a week and its not going as fast as it use to, why?

Tell us more, noises, changes, things of interest, pictures, anything that could be helpful.

try adjusting the hop up, thats why its there. also do u keep your spring compressed when storing the gun? also maybe the cold could have something to do with it....

dirt in the barrel, bent barrel, if your guns leaning against a wall for a long time the barrel can develope a slight bend, which would mess it up

not decompressing the spring would be my guess, but guns dont do well in the cold, when the guns are outside in the cold for a long time the battery gets cold and doesnt work as well.

Ok, today I adjusted the hopup, which helped a ton on distance, but it still isnt as accurate. Whenever I am done shooting, I shoot a few shots in semi to decompress the spring, so I know thats not the issue, and I always leave it standing up on its drum mag. Could it just be I have worn down the spring? If I did, will a new 110 spring do it?

its not the spring man. most inexpensive way i can think of to fix this problem is use heavier bb's

it could be the bbs crappy bbs will lead to looser groupings

do you turn your hop up off when your done useing it?

also is it windy lol

the seal components like the o ring on the piston head and the nozzle ect will wear down after a while
that could lead in a loss of fps

but as far as accuracy goes
are you useing a diffrent brand of bbs than you normally are??

Im actually using better BB's, crosman seamless .2 grams. What happens If I don't turn off the hop-up?

THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!

and it sux, since the V7 is a ***** to open, and expensive to work on, especially for something so small.

Your hop up bucking will either become stretched, or ripped. When this happened to me, my soc 16 would shoot literally 50 feet with horrid accuracy before they hit the ground.

It could be your problem my man

I couldve been my hop but im not sure if I had it on. If it was on it was only on turn, would that little make a difference?

Have you cleaned the barrel? Allot of people have asked but I missed it if you mentioned you had.

Depends on what you consider cleaning. If you mean taking a rag putting sicicon oil on it and running it through the barrel then no, but I have used a some toilet and my cleaning rod. Does that mess up the barrel, I mean the toilet paper

Should I just get some upgrades?

Since you said you've put 20 thousand+ rounds through it, your accuracy issues still seem like an issues with worn or disused parts. Since you don't have experience with fixing guns, take it to somebody (free plug for tomato!) and have them look at it. Better yet, get them to SHOW you and learn something while you're at it.

Ya this is my first AEG. Are there any airsmiths in the worcester area? How much would it cost me to get it fixed? I don't got a job, so i dont got a lot of $.
