Hey guys, new to the forum but pretty familiar with airsoft. I bought a Taurus PT-92 probably two years ago. It's electric and doesn't even reach 200 f.p.s. I just recently bought a Walther P22 from kmart that shoots around 250-275 (pretty much a steal at only $16). Anyways, I want to buy this Remington TAC1.

What are your opinions on this gun? Shoots 350 f.p.s. and its only $45. I'm definitely going for something spring and I'll invest in an AEG sometime this summer. Thanks.

Anything you can suggest for around $50? I know it's cheap but money's a little tight right now.

If you plan on playing at a field, u want a good AEG, like TM, CA , ICS, etc. so I would wait until you got the money. Echo 1 are good starter guns though.

$50 isn't really enough to do much with. The best option would be for you to save up until you had 100-150 and could buy a good quality starter gun like an echo 1 or CYMA 028 (as mentioned by others)
you could also search the classifieds boards as there are probably good deals on used guns

I have never played at a field. I usually only play with a few friends and I don't really plan on playing at a field. The biggest teams we ever have are like 4v4.

since you live in New Bedford you are close to a field. The games are usually 10-10 or more usually.

Id save for something better like an ECHO 1 (as a starter gun with that is good for less)or a TM or CA(depends on money avalable or how srious you want to get). I have heard a lot of goot things about the M733 from ECHO 1(Avg about $150) . If you plan go to a game that would be your best betfor your price range. Rember-the cheaper the gun, the less quality parts are put into it. Spending over $100 will get you an ok AEG. I wouldnt get the shougun. In the summer buy a better AEG when you will probally have more money. That way you have a better gun that will last longer. (Saving up will really pay off in the long run)

I'm gonna take your advice and just use my current pistols. That Echo 1 M733 looks like a really good deal for the price. I'm now seeing the difference between shotty plastic guns and quality guns. Thanks again.

don't bother, if u want a spring shotgun, go with the double eagle m47, its identical internally, and retails for about $25 w.o the hicap. i'd personally just wait though, then buy an auto. Please, dont buy rebrands that cost twice as much
